Oshawa was announced as the host in April 2022.[1] The city hosted the event once before in 1952. Competitors qualified at the Skate Canada Challenge in December.[2]

The 2023 Four Continents Championships were held from February 7–12 in Colorado Springs, Colorado, in the United States. Teams were selected using the International Teams Selection Criteria.[12] The initial team selection was announced on January 15, 2023.[13] The full list, including alternates, was published by the ISU on January 18, 2023. The 2023 World Junior Championships were held from February 27–March 5 in Calgary, Alberta.
