American college baseball season
The 2016 Texas Tech Red Raiders baseball team represented Texas Tech University during the 2016 NCAA Division I baseball season . The Red Raiders played their home games at Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park as a member of the Big 12 Conference . They were led by head coach Tim Tadlock , in his 4th season at Texas Tech.
Previous season
The 2015 Texas Tech Red Raiders baseball team notched a 31–24 (13–11) regular season record and finished third in the Big 12 Conference standings.[ 2] The Red Raiders reached the 2015 Big 12 Conference baseball tournament championship game, where they were eliminated in the second round.[ 3] Texas Tech did not receive an at-large bid to the 2015 NCAA Division I baseball tournament .
