The election was called after Joanne Tomlin resigned as a Councillor due to personal issues.[ 4] It was held on 13 October 2016.[ 5]
Notes
^ Elected as a Conservative but subsequently resigned from the party and is now an Independent.[ 2]
^ a b Graham Wilson represented Newtown for the Liberal Democrats before crossing the floor to join the Conservatives, whereas Lindsay Wilson had previously represented Alderney for the Liberal Democrats.[ 3]
