عمر فاروق عثمان صحفي صومالي[1][2] يشغل منصب الأمين العام لاتحاد النقابات العمالية الصومالية (FESTU).[3][4] بصفته رئيس الاتحاد الوطني للصحفيين الصوماليين (NUSOJ)[5][6] وعضو في اللجنة التنفيذية للاتحاد الدولي للصحفيين (IFJ).[7][8][9]

اختير في 6 مارس 2024 رئيسا للاتحاد الإفريقي للصحفيين (AFJ).[10]
