تأسست غرفة تجارة بغداد (Baghdad Chamber of Commerce) بتأريخ 28 أيلول 1926 بموجب القانون رقم 40 لسنة 1926، وهي أول غرفة تأسست في ظل الحكم الوطني في العراق ثم توالى تأسيس الغرف الأخرى في بقية محافظات العراق.

نبذة تأريخية عن الغرفة

مرت الغرفة بأربع مراحل هي:

المررحلة الأولى:

وتبدأ من تاسيسها عام 1926[1] ومارست أعمالها في ظل القانون رقم 40 لسنة 1926 ثم القانون رقم 100 لسنة 1966[2][3] تتميز هذه المرحلة بانفراد القطاع الخاص بتحمل مسؤولية إدارة الغرفة بصورة كاملة.

المرحلة الثانية:

وتبدأ من عام 1968 حتى عام 1983 حيث تم تشريع القانون رقم 124 لسنة 1969 وتلا ذلك صدور القانون رقم 45 لسنة 1973[4][5] وبموجبه تمت مشاركة القطاع الاشتراكي في مسؤولية إدارة الغرف التجارية في العراق جنبا إلى جنب مع القطاع الخاص.

المرحلة الثالثة:

كانت بداية عام 1985 إيذانا ببدء هذه المرحلة في تاريخ الغرف العراقية بعد أن تم دمجها مع اتحاد الصناعات العراقي بموجب القانون رقم 24 لسنة 1983.[6][7]

المرحلة الرابعة:

بدأت هذه المرحلة في تاريخ الغرف التجارية العراقية بتشريع القانون رقم 43 لسنة 1989[8][9] حيث أصبحت الغرفة بموجب هذا القانون منظمة اقتصادية مهنية لرعاية شؤون النشاط التجاري الخاص وتقديم الخدمات والمعلومات له بالشكل الذي يعينه على ممارسة دوره في الأنشطة التجارية على أفضل وجه.
