O waterpolo ye un esporte d'equipo que se practica en una piscina entre dos equipos de siet chugadors cadagún, con a finalidat de ficar una pilota en a portería d'o equipo contrario. Os equipos son formatos por trece chugadors, participando-ne siet en o chuego en o chuego y estando-ne resta en a banqueta.

En as categorías absolutas y chovenils, bi ha cuatre periodos de ueito menutos. D'atra man, en as categorías cadete, infantil, alevín y benchamín a durada ye de siet menutos por periodo. Cada equipo tien nomás 30 segundos de posesión ta fer un lanzamiento a la portería contraria. Os chugadors, excepto lo portero, no pueden pisar o suelo d'a piscina, ya que ye prohibito y a mas a fondaria d'ista no lo permite.

Os chugadors s'esferencian por o gorro que, por un regular, ye de color blanca en o equipo local y de color azul en o equipo vesitant.

En Aragón o millor equipo en a categoria masculina ye o CN Helios que partecipa en a segunda categoría espanyola dita Primera División Espanyola de Waterpolo, a primera ye a División d'Honor de Waterpolo.[1] y en a categoría femenina ye o Cablescom EWZ (Escuela de Waterpolo de Zaragoza) que partecipa en a División d'Honor espanyola de Waterpolo Femenín.[2]
