Zigaz adalah grup band asal Indonesia dengan mengusung aliran Pop Rock. Zigaz pertama kali dibentuk pada 19 Juni 2006.

Sejarah Zigaz

Zigaz terbentuk pada tanggal 19 Juni 2006. Nama Zigaz sendiri diawali dan diakhiri dengan huruf akhir dari alfabet, Z, mengisyaratkan bahwa ini memang perjalanan akhir mereka dalam dunia musik, inilah naungan mereka dalam berkarya seni. Sedangkan kata iga sendiri mewakili sebuah simbol penting dalam sebuah tubuh manusia, sebagai unsur penting dalam kerangka yang mendasari tulang manusia. Dengan makna tersebut, kelima anak muda ini berharap agar Zigaz menjadi naungan mereka berkarya yang bisa diperhitungkan oleh khalayak.

Meskipun terbilang masih cukup muda, usia band ini, tetapi pengalaman masing-masing personel yang tidak bisa diremehkan membuat Zigaz terasa matang dalam pengolahan sound, lirik, aransemen, dan juga skill.

Zigaz mengambil referensi dari musik poprock tahun 80-an dan 90-an akhir, dengan Collective Soul, Audioslave, Aerosmith, The Police, Queen, dan juga Arkarna sebagai inspirasinya. Namun mereka tetap bisa mengadaptasikan musiknya dengan selera pasar saat ini, seperti yang dibuktikan di album perdana mereka yang berjudul ZIGAZ dengan singel andalan Sahabat Jadi Cinta.

Zigaz berharap bukan hanya bisa eksis di album ini saja, tetapi juga bisa bertahan dan memberikan bagian dalam evolusi musik Indonesia.[1]

Pada tahun 2011, Zigaz sempat mengeluarkan lagu Tebar Pesona dengan label sebelumnya. Kemudian, pada tahun 2012 Zigaz resmi kontrak rekaman dengan label Pro-M yang telah merilis hits Cinta Gila, Kenanglah, Pertemukan Rasa, dan Wake Up.

Selama 6 tahun Zian menjadi vokalis, Zian pada akhirnya mengundurkan diri dari band Zigaz dan diganti vokalis baru yaitu Mega. Sedangkan, posisi Ebby yang dulu sebagai bassist masih kosong. Sekarang, Zigaz dengan formasi keempat yaitu Mega, Raindy, Azis & Rama dengan mengeluarkan single Saat Kehilangan Cinta. Tahun 2016 mereka kembali mendaur ulang lagu Teman Atau Ratu dengan khas suara wanita yaitu mengganti kata dalam liriknya seperti wanita diganti lelaki dan cantik diubah jadi tampan.
