Yoo Ji-tae (Hangul: 유지태; lahir 13 April 1976) merupakan seorang aktor, sutradara dan penulis naskah Korea Selatan. Ia dikenal sebagai aktor dalam film Attack the Gas Station (1999), Ditto (2000), One Fine Spring Day (2001), Oldboy (2003) dan Woman is the Future of Man (2004). Ia memulai debut sebagai sutradara dalam film Mai Ratima (2013).

Latar belakang dan pendidikan

Yoo Ji-tae lahir di Seoul, Korea Selatan, dan dibesarkan oleh orang tua tunggal. Ia menyatakan, "Ibuku, yang bekerja sebagai perawat untuk waktu yang lama, ingin menjalankan rumah sakit untuk lansia suatu hari nanti. Aku ingin secara finansial membantunya mewujudkan mimpinya, dan kemudian mendirikan panti asuhan."[1] Ia berteman dengan komedian Kim Jun-ho, setelah tinggal bersama sebagai teman sekamar selama kuliah dan berakting bersama di atas panggung.

Saat menjadi mahasiswa di Universitas Katolik Korea mengambil Pascasarjana Pekerjaan Sosial, ia sangat aktif sebagai dermawan. Ia bergabung dengan sesi pemotretan dan lelang amal,[2][3] membantu mendirikan taman kanak-kanak di Nepal,[4] menyumbang untuk bantuan gempa Haiti,[5] menyumbangkan dana untuk membangun sekolah di Myanmar, bergabung dengan amal untuk memberi manfaat kepada para korban luka bakar di wajah,[3] mengajukan diri secara sukarela dalam kampanye memberikan makan siang gratis kepada orang-orang yang kurang mampu,[6] mempromosikan adopsi anjing yang ditinggalkan dan berkampanye melawan kekerasan dalam rumah tangga terhadap ibu migran.[7]
