Yesaya 50 (disingkat Yes 50) adalah bagian dari Kitab Yesaya dalam Alkitab Ibrani dan Perjanjian Lama di Alkitab Kristen.[1] Memuat Firman Allah yang disampaikan oleh nabi Yesaya bin Amos terutama berkenaan tentang Yehuda dan Yerusalem. Nabi ini hidup pada zaman raja Uzia, Yotam, Ahas dan Hizkia dari Kerajaan Yehuda sekitar abad ke-8 SM.[2][3]

Hamba yang Menderita

Komentari mengenai Kitab Yesaya tulisan Bernhard Duhm tahun 1892 pertama kali mengidentifikasi ada 4 nyanyian (atau sajak) tentang Hamba TUHAN yang Menderita (bahasa Inggris: suffering servant of the LORD) di antara pasal 42 sampai 53 Kitab Yesaya. Allah memanggil hamba-Nya ini untuk memimpin bangsa-bangsa, tetapi dia disiksa dengan kejam. Hamba ini mengorbankan dirinya, menerima hukuman yang seharusnya untuk orang lain, dan akhirnya, dia diberi pahala. Keempat bagian itu adalah:

  1. Yesaya 42:1–9
  2. Yesaya 49:1–12
  3. Yesaya 50:4–9
  4. Yesaya 52–53
