Yesaya 47 (disingkat Yes 47) adalah bagian dari Kitab Yesaya dalam Alkitab Ibrani dan Perjanjian Lama di Alkitab Kristen.[1] Berisi Firman Allah yang disampaikan oleh nabi Yesaya bin Amos tentang Yehuda dan Yerusalem. Nabi ini hidup pada zaman raja Uzia, Yotam, Ahas dan Hizkia dari Kerajaan Yehuda sekitar abad ke-8 SM.[2][3]

Kedua hal itu akan menimpa engkau dalam sekejap mata, pada satu hari juga. Kepunahan dan kejandaan dengan sepenuhnya akan menimpa engkau, sekalipun banyak sihirmu dan sangat kuat manteramu.[6]

Babel mewakili kebudayaan kafir, yang mementingkan diri, dan angkuh (Yesaya 47:8,10); penduduknya hidup dalam kenikmatan berhawa nafsu dan mengandalkan hikmat dan pengetahuan mereka sendiri dan ilmu sihir (Yesaya 47:10,12–13). Orang semacam itu ditetapkan untuk hukuman yang hebat dan terjadi tiba-tiba (Yesaya 47:9,11). Pada hari-hari terakhir masa kesengsaraan, Babel yang mewakili semua kebudayaan kafir dan humanistik dari dunia yang tidak ikut Tuhan, akan ditunggangbalikkan oleh Allah dalam murka-Nya (Wahyu 17:1; Wahyu 18:2).[7]
