Yayasan Timur Dekat

Yayasan Timur Dekat (YATID), sebelumnya Komite Amerika untuk Bantuan Armenia dan Suriah (KABAS),[1] kemudian Komite Amerika untuk Bantuan di Timur Dekat (KABTID), dan kemudian Bantuan Timur Dekat (BATID), adalah organisasi pembangunan sosial dan ekonomi internasional Amerika yang berbasis di Syracuse, New York. Didirikan pada 1915, YATID merupakan organisasi pembangunan internasional nonsektarian tertua di Amerika Serikat dan organisasi kemanusiaan Amerika kedua yang disahkan melalui undang-undang Kongres. Bantuan Timur Dekat mengorganisir proyek kemanusiaan modern berskala besar pertama di dunia sebagai tanggapan untuk Genosida Armenia. Dikenal sebagai Yayasan Timur Dekat sejak 1930, YATID mempelopori banyak strategi yang digunakan oleh banyak organisasi pembangunan terdepan di dunia. Dalam seratus tahun terakhir YATID telah bekerja dengan komunitas mitra di lebih dari 40 negara. Yayasan ini telah mengorganisir proyek kemanusiaan besar pertama di Amerika Serikat, pada awal abad ke-20.[2]
