Yann I si Merah (di dalam bahasa Breton Yann Iañ ar Ruz, di dalam bahasa Prancis Jean I le Roux) (1217 – 8 Oktober 1286), ia dikenal sebagai Yann si Merah karena warna jenggotnya, merupakan Adipati Bretagne, dari tahun 1237 sampai dengan kematiannya. Ia adalah putra Adipati Pêr I dan Alis, ahli waris wilayah adipati tersebut.

Kehidupan

Yann menjabat sebagai adipati dari tahun 1221, tanggal kematian ibundanya, meskipun ayahandanya memerintah sebagai pemangku takhta sampai ia mencapai usia dewasa.

Ia berkonflik dengan Keuskupan Katolik Roma di Nantes dan Breton. Ia bergabung dengan Santo Louis di dalam Perang Salib Kedelapan (1270), dan selamat dari wabah yang membunuh raja. Ia kemudian kembali ke wilayah adipatinya. Di Bretagne ia mengeluarkan sebuah dekrit untuk mengusir bangsa Yahudi dari wilayah adipati dan membatalkan seluruh hutang-hutang kepada mereka.
