Kathy Yaeji Lee (lahir 6 Agustus 1993)[1] dikenal sebagai Yaeji adalah disjoki dan musisi elektronik berbasis di Brooklyn. Gaya bermusiknya memadukan musik house dan musik hip hop dengan vokal mellow dinyanyikan dalam bahasa Inggris dan Korea.[2]

Kehidupan awal

Kathy Yaeji Lee lahir sebagai anak tunggal dalam sebuah keluarga Korea.[3] Ia pindah dari New York ke Atlanta ketika berusia lima tahun, setelah itu ke Korea Selatan ketika kelas tiga sekolah dasar.[2] Ketika tinggal di Korea Selatan, ia berpindah sekolah internasional per tahun, menyebabkannya untuk mencari teman di internet, di mana ia pertama kali menggali tentang musik.[3] Ia sempat bersekolah di Jepang sebelum pindah kembali ke Korea Selatan.[4]
