Wang Sicong (Tionghoa: 王思聪; pinyin: Wáng Sīcōng, lahir 1988) adalah seorang pengusaha Tiongkok dan putra tunggal dari pengusaha Tiongkok Wang Jianlin.[1][2][3]

Kehidupan awal

Wang Sicong lahir di provinsi Dalian, Liaoning, Tiongkok pada 1988.[4][5][6] Ayahnya Wang Jianlin adalah ketua Dalian Wanda Group, pengembang real estate terbesar di Tiongkok, serta operator bioskop terbesar di dunia.[7]

Sicong meraih gelar dalam bidang filsafat dari University College London.[4][8]

Kehidupan pribadi

Sebagai anggota generasi kaya kedua Tiongkok yang dikenal sebagai fuerdai,[9] Perilaku Sicong meraih sorotan pers.[10] Pada Maret 2016, Sicong dikabarkan menghabiskan 2.5 juta RMB dalam satu malam di sebuah karaoke bar.[1] Ia juga mendirikan dan memiliki sebuah tim permainan profesional online, Invictus Gaming.[11] Pada 2016, ia juga disorot pers karena memberikan anjingnya delapan iPhone 7 baru.[12][13]

Karier

Sicong adalah ketua dari Prometheus Capital, seorang perusahaan ekuitas swasta[24] yang ia dirikan dengan biaya sejumlah 500 juta RMB yang ayahnya berikan kepadanya.[4][8] Ia adalah direktur Dalian Wanda Group.[4][25]

Pada 2011 Wang mendirikan tim permainan profesional (eSports) Invictus Gaming (iG). IG memenangkan kejuaraan Dota 2 The International 2012 pada tahun berikutnya. Pada 2015, Sicong meluncurkan Panda TV, sebuah saluran penyiaran olahraga elektronik yang dirancang untuk bersaing dengan Twitch.tv milik Amazon.[26][27][28]

Sicong dikabarkan menghabiskan US$516.7 juta untuk pembangunan hotel bintang tujuh Wanda Reign di Shanghai, yang dibuka pada Juni 2016.[29][30] Hotel tersebut dirancang oleh arsitek Inggris Norman Foster.[31]
