Waffle House, Inc. merupakan jaringan restoran asal Amerika Serikat yang terletak di 2000 lokasi yang tersebar di 25 negara bagian di Amerika Serikat.[4] Sebagain besar lokasinya berada di Midwest dan AS bagian Selatan di mana jaringan restoran ini menjadi ikon budaya regional.[5] Menu-menunya sebagian besar merupakan sajian sarapan khas Selatan.[6] Waffle House bermarkas di Norcross, Georgia, AS di kawasan metropolitan Atlanta.[7]

Sejarah

Pendirian

Waffle House pertama dibuka pada Hari Buruh di akhir pekan tahun 1955 di 2719 East College Avenue, Avondale Estates, Georgia, AS.[8][9] Restoran tersebut pertama didirikan oleh Joe Rogers Sr. dan Tom Forkner.[10][9][11]

Konsep yang dimiliki Roger adalah mengombinasikan kecepatan makanan cepan saji dengan meja layanan yang tersedia sepanjang waktu.[5] Forkner mengusulkan penamaan "Waffle House" karena wafel merupakan item yang paling banyak menghasilkan keuntungan dalam daftar menu 16-item.[5]
