Ursula Honour Smith menikah dengan nama Oakley (lahir 1934) adalah mantan pemain bulu tangkis internasional Inggris.[1]

Masa muda

Dia tinggal di 'Fernleigh' 15 Brunswick Sq Herne Bay Kent sejak usia sepuluh tahun. Dia bersekolah di sekolah La Sainte Union RC di Herne Bay.[2][3] Dia kuliah di Universitas Southampton , di mana dia bermain untuk tim bulu tangkis universitas, memenangkan kejuaraan UAU pada bulan Desember 1952 di Victory Hall of Loughborough College.[4][5] Pada tahun 1956 dia bekerja di Rumah Sakit St George di The Lanesborough di Hyde Park Corner, sebagai perawat.[6] Dia mengunjungi Prancis selama 12 bulan pada tahun 1955 untuk belajar bahasa Prancis.[7]

Karier bulu tangkis

Smith [8] adalah pemenang Kejuaraan Bulu Tangkis All England Terbuka. Dia memenangkan tunggal putri Kejuaraan Bulu Tangkis All England Terbuka 1965.[9]

Smith berkompetisi di Pesta Olahraga Kerajaan dan Persemakmuran Inggris 1966 di Kingston, Jamaika memenangkan medali emas di ganda putri dan medali perunggu di tunggal.[10] Dia mewakili Herne Bay dan Kent.
