Uretritis

Uretritis adalah peradangan dan pembengkakan pada uretra (saluran yang membawa urine dari kandung kemih ke luar tubuh). Peradangan tersebut menimbulkan rasa nyeri pada saat buang air kecil. Karena terjadi pada uretra, maka uretritis biasa juga disebut infeksi uretra.[1]

Penyebab

Uretritis pada umumnya disebabkan oleh etiologi infeksi dan saat ada bakteri yang masuk ke dalam kantong kemih. Pada umumnya, uretritis lebih sering dialami oleh wanita, hal ini disebabkan karena struktur uretra pada wanita lebih pendek, sehingga organisme yang menyebabkan infeksi lebih mudah masuk ke dalam uretra.[2]

Uretritis terbagi menjadi dua jenis berdasarkan penyebab peradangannya, yaitu:

Uretritis Gonore, merupakan uretritis yang disebabkan oleh bakteri penyebab gonore (Neisseria gonorrhoeae). Neisseria gonorrhoeae adalah bakteri diplococci gram negatif yag ditularkan melalui hubungan seksual.[3] -Uretritis non-gonore, yaitu uretritis yang disebabkan oleh bakteri lain.

Gejala umum yang dapat dirasakan oleh penderita uretritis adalah rasa sakit saat buang air kecil. [2]
