Tom Yellin (kelahiran tahun 1953) adalah seorang produser televisi dan film Amerika. Ia banyak berkarya pada berbagai film televisi dan dokumenter.

Biografi

Lahir dari sebuah keluarga Yahudi pada 1953,[1] Yellin memulai kariernya sebagai produser eksekutif di ABC News. Ia membuat berbagai acara berita dan serial televisi, yang memenangkan berbagai penghargaan, yang meliputi penghargaan-penghargaan Peabody, Emmy, Gabriel, George Polk dan Alfred I. duPont–Columbia University. Pada 2002, ia menjadi salah satu pendiri PJ Productions, sebuah perusahaan produksi televisi Amerika; beberapa tahun kemudian, ia juga menjadi salah satu pendiri The Documentary Group, sebuah perusahaan produksi independen.[2]

Yellin memproduksi dokumenter-dokumenter seperti Operation Homecoming: Writing the Wartime Experience (2007) Girl Rising (2013), dan America in Primetime (2011).[2] Pada 2015, ia membuat dokumenter Cartel Land yang meraih sambutan positif, dan dinominasik untuk sejumlah penghargaan, termasuk Film Dokumenter Terbaik (Oscar)[3] dan Dokumenter Terbaik (BAFTA Award).[4]
