Thomas Vinterberg (lahir 19 Mei 1969) adalah seorang sutradara Denmark yang, bersama dengan Lars von Trier, membentuk gerakan Dogme 95 dalam bidang pembuatan film, yang mendirikan peraturan-peraturan untuk menyederhanakan produksi film.

Kehidupan dan karier

Vinterberg lahir di Copenhagen, Denmark. Pada 1993, ia lulus dari Sekolah Film Nasional Denmark

Pada 1 Agustus 2008, ia menyutradarai video musik untuk "The Day That Never Comes", singel lepas pertama dari album Metallica Death Magnetic.

Film 2010-nya Submarino dinominasikan untuk Golden Bear di Festival Film Internasional Berlin ke-60.^[1]

Pada 2012, filmnya The Hunt dinominasikan untuk Palme d'Or di Festival Film Cannes 2012^[2]^[3] dan dinominasikan pada penghargaan Film Berbahasa Asing Terbaik di Academy Awards ke-86.

Pada 2015, ia merilis "Far From The Madding Crowd", sebuah adaptasi dari sebuah novel karya Thomas Hardy yang terkenal.
