Theon Greyjoy adalah karakter fiksi dalam seri novel fantasi— A Song of Ice and Fire karangan penulis Amerika—George R. R. Martin dan untuk adaptasi televisi berjudul Game of Thrones. Theon adalah putra bungsu dan calon pewaris Balon Greyjoy, yang kemudian diambil oleh Lord Eddard Stark untuk dijadikan sebagai anak angkat setelah pemberontakan Balon yang gagal.

Pertama kali diperkenalkan dalam A Game of Thrones (1996). Theon muncul kembali dalam A Clash of Kings (1998) dan A Dance with Dragons (2011), ada jeda 13 tahun di mana ia diperkenalkan kembali sebagai Reek, pengikut Ramsay Bolton yang disiksa olehnya.

Theon diperankan oleh aktor Inggris—Alfie Allen dalam adaptasi televisi HBO.[1]

Penggambaran karakter

Theon Greyjoy adalah pewaris nyata dan putra satu-satunya Balon Greyjoy yang masih hidup. Theon adalah narator untuk tiga belas bab dalam novel kedua dan kelima, A Clash of Kings dan A Dance with Dragons.[2]

Sepuluh tahun sebelum seri dimulai, Theon disandera oleh Eddard Stark. Dia akan dieksekusi seandainya ayahnya, Balon, tidak menyenangkan Raja Robert Baratheon. Theon dibesarkan di Winterfell dengan anak-anak Stark dan bersahabat dengan Robb Stark. Sebagai orang dewasa, Theon memiliki sifat sombong, congkak, selalu membanggakan dirinya, hingga mengorbankan orang demi menyelamatkan dirinya sendiri. Theon selama hidupnya berada di lingkungan keluarga Stark. Sebelum berkhianat, dihadapan keluarga Stark, Theon selalu menjelekkan keluarga lain yang tidak dia senangi. Sampai akhirnya Theon berkhianat kepada keluarga Stark, dia menjelekkan secara terang-terangan keluarga Stark. Dan pada akhirnya tidak ada satupun yang menerima Theon di keluarga manapun karena sikap congkaknya, yang pada akhirnya dikebiri lalu mati di siksa oleh keluarga Roose Bolton.
