The Armies of the Night adalah sebuah novel nonfiksi yang ditulis oleh Norman Mailer dan diterbitkan oleh New American Library tahun 1968. Buku ini memenangkan Hadiah Pulitzer untuk Non-Fiksi Umum[1] dan National Book Award dalam kategoriin kategori Arts and Letters.[2]
Judul lengkap buku ini adalah Armies of the Night: History as a Novel/The Novel as History. Mailer menciptakan genrenya sendiri; seperti kata subjudulnya, narasinya terbagi menjadi kesaksian historis dan novelisasi Pawai ke Pentagon Oktober 1967. Penciptaan novel non-fiksi Mailer yang unik hanyalah satu dari beberapa karya yang ada pada saat itu dan mendapatkan perhatian kritikus terbanyak. In Cold Blood (1965) karya Truman Capote dan Hell's Angels (1966) karya Hunter S. Thompson sudah diterbitkan duluan, dan tiga bulan kemudian Tom Wolfe menulis The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test (1968).
