Teori strukturasi

Teori strukturasi adalah teori ilmu sosial tentang penciptaan dan reproduksi sistem sosial yang berbasis pada analisis struktur dan agen (lihat struktur dan agen), tanpa memberi keunggulan pada keduanya. Selanjutnya, dalam teori strukturisasi, baik analisis mikro maupun makro semata sudah cukup. Teori ini diusulkan oleh sosiolog Anthony Giddens, dan menuliskannya dalam buku The Constitution of Society.[1] Pada buku tersebut, Anthony menguji fenomenologi, hermeneutika, dan praktik sosial pada persimpangan antara struktur dan agen yang tak terpisahkan. Pendukungnya telah mengusulkan dan memperluas posisi seimbang ini.[2] Meski teori ini telah menuai banyak kritik, tetapi teori ini tetap menjadi pilar teori sosiologi kontemporer.[3]
