Tato alat kelamin adalah praktik modifikasi tubuh dengan menempatkan tinta permanen di bawah kulit alat kelamin dalam bentuk rajah.[1] Meskipun tato popupuler di dunia barat, khususnya di kalangan orang muda, tato kelamin relatif jarang dipraktikkan. Terutama karena area kelamin cukup sensitif, jarang terlihat di depan umum, dan ditutupi rambut kemaluan. Beberapa jasa pembuatan tato juga menolak menempatkan tato di area kelamin karena berbagai alasan.[2]
Beberapa bukti arkeologis menunjukkan bahwa tato kelamin telah dipraktikkan selama zaman paleolitik. Bukti arkeologis yang menampilkan rajah alat kelamin laki-laki secara eksplisit ditemukan dalam seni yang dibuat di Eropa sekitar 38.000 hingga 11.000 tahun yang lalu. Namun, makna rajah kelamin ini belum diidentifikasi dengan jelas.[3]
