Tari Adai-adai


Tari Adai-adai adalah tarian tradisional suku Brunei yang menceritakan kehidupan nelayan.[1][2][3][4]

Tarian ini menceritakan kumpulan nelayan yang sedang pergi menangkap ikan di laut dan para wanita menunggu kepulangan keluarga mereka di sekitar pantai.[5]

Tari Adai-adai ini biasanya berpasangan 4 laki laki dan 4 perempuan. tarian diiringi dengan musik rebana dan gambus atau nyanyian seperti Tari Zapin. Tari ini umumnya diadakan untuk menyambut para tamu terhormat. Penari-penarinya juga memakai pakaian khas yang berwarna warni. Bahkan jika tidak ada alat musik, maka para penabuh menggunakan hentakan dayung perahu secara serentak.
