Super GT (ditulis resmi sebagai SUPER GT) merupakan sebuah ajang balap mobil sport yang berdiri dan berkompetisi sejak tahun 1993.[1][2] Ajang ini sebelumnya bernama Zen Nihon GT Senshuken (全日本GT選手権) yang secara umum sering juga disebut sebagai JGTC atau All Japan Grand Touring Car Championship. Sejak musim 2005, ajang ini dinamai ulang sebagai Super GT. Ajang ini merupakan divisi paling tinggi dari balap mobil sport di Jepang.

Sejarah

Pada tahun 2014, Super GT dan seri mobil tur Jerman DTM mengumumkan penciptaan "Class One",[3] yang akan menyatukan peraturan teknis GT500 dan DTM, yang memungkinkan produsen untuk balapan di kedua seri dengan spesifikasi mobil tunggal. Setelah beberapa penundaan, penyatuan penuh peraturan teknis ditetapkan untuk 2019.[4]
