Sungai Severn (bahasa Wales: Afon Hafren) adalah sungai terpanjang di Pulau Britania Raya dengan panjang 220 mil (354 km),[4][5] dan terbesar kedua di Kepulauan Britania setelah Sungai Shannon di Irlandia. Sungai ini dimulai dari ketinggian 2.001 kaki (610 m) di Plynlimon, dekat perbatasan Ceredigion/Powys sekitar Llanidloes, di Pegunungan Cambria, Wales Tengah. Lalu sungai ini mengalir melalui Shropshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire, termasuk mengaliri kota Shrewsbury, Worcester dan Gloucester. Dengan aliran rata-rata 107 m3/s (3.800 cu ft/s) di Apperley, Gloucestershire, sungai ini merupakan sungai terbesar dalam hal aliran air di Inggris dan Wales. muara sungai ini biasanya dianggap dimulai dari Jembatan Severn Kedua antara Severn Beach, South Gloucestershire and Sudbrook, Monmouthshire. Lalu sungai ini mengalir ke Selat Bristol yang terus mengalir ke Laut Keltik dan selanjutnya Samudra Atlantik.
