Plot
Berpusat pada kisah Anne Halford, seorang pembuat gula-gula yang ingin menjadi sama tenarnya seperti ibunya. Untuk menuju ibukota dan mengikuti ujian pembuat gula-gula, Anne membeli seorang peri penjaga. Di dunianya, peri dan manusia telah hidup dalam dunia yang sama dalam waktu yang lama, tetapi kini peri didiskriminasi dan diperbudak. Sayap mereka diambil sebagai jaminan agar mereka tidak lari.
