Spidol ultraviolet (UV marker) adalah pena yang menghasilkan tanda berfluoresensi namun tetap transparan; tanda tersebut hanya dapat terlihat di bawah cahaya ultraviolet. Spidol UV umumnya digunakan dalam situasi keamanan untuk mengidentifikasi barang milik seseorang atau mencegah pemalsuan uang kertas yang tidak sah. Saat ini, spidol UV dapat dibeli di beberapa toko alat tulis untuk menandai barang berharga secara aman jika terjadi pencurian.[1]

Pada masa lalu, tinta yang digunakan dalam spidol UV dibuat dari berbagai bahan seperti jus lemon, cuka, darah yang diencerkan, atau bahkan urin.[2] Komponen utama dalam tinta improvisasi termasuk deterjen pencuci pakaian yang diencerkan, cairan tubuh, air tonik, serta vitamin B-12 yang dilarutkan dalam cuka.[butuh rujukan]
