Sinsepal

Sinsepal adalah struktur bunga yang terbentuk dari penggabungan sebagian atau seluruh dua sepal atau lebih.[1] Sepal seperti itu disebut sinsepal atau gamosepal.[2]

Pada anggrek Cypripedioideae umumnya kedua sepal lateral menyatu membentuk sinsepal pada lingkaran luar. Sinsepal ini terletak tepat di belakang kantung, berlawanan dengan sepal dorsal yang mengarah ke atas.

Sinsepal dapat berupa bifid, yaitu terbagi menjadi dua lobus yang sama besar, atau bercabang dan terbagi menjadi dua oleh celah yang dalam.
