Sigrid Solbakk Raabe (lahir di Ålesund, Norwegia, 5 September 1996) adalah penyanyi dan penulis lagu pop asal Norwegia. Pada tahun 2017, ia merilis lagu debutnya, Don't Kill My Vibe, yang kemudian memenangkan BBC Music Sound 2018. Pada 2017, untuk pertama kalinya Sigrid tampil di festival musik Glastonbury dan konser Hadiah Nobel Perdamaian sebelum akhirnya memenangkan BBC Music Sound.[1] Pada Maret 2019, ia merilis album debut studionya, Sucker Punch. Kehidupan awal

Sigrid lahir dan besar di kota kecil Ålesund yang terletak di pesisir barat Norwegia. Ia tumbuh dengan kecintaan terhadap musik. Ayah ibunya sering memperdengarkannya pada musik Neil Young dan Joni Mitchell. Sigrid mulai belajar memainkan piano pada usia 7 tahun. Ia kemudian mulai mencoba menyanyikan lagu-lagu musisi yang lebih baru, seperti Adele dan Coldplay.[4] Pada usia 18 tahun, ia memutuskan pindah ke Bergen, kota utama untuk perkembangan musik-musik baru di Norwegia.[4] Sebelum penandatanganan kontrak dengan studio rekaman, Sigrid sempat vakum selama setahun untuk menyelesaikan sekolah menengahnya.[5]

Karier

Sigrid di tahun 2019

Sigrid memulai karirnya dengan cara yang sedikit tradisional dibandingkan dengan penyanyi-penyanyi lain seusianya. Ia memulainya dari radio dan panggung-panggung kecil di kota kelahirannya.[5] Semula, kakak kandung Sigrid, Tellef, mengundangnya untuk membuka sebuah acara. Ia menantang Sigrid untuk membawakan lagu ciptaannya sendiri. Sigrid kemudian selama dua minggu menyiapkan lagu yang ia beri judul "Sun".
