Siaran gratis (juga dikenal dalam Bahasa Inggris free-to-air, disingkat FTA) merupakan siaran yang berasal dari stasiun radio atau televisi yang salurannya dapat ditonton tanpa harus berlangganan atau mengeluarkan biaya seperti siaran radio dan televisi berbayar. Hal ini biasanya merujuk pada siaran terestrial, di mana sinyal siaran dapat ditangkap melalui antena terestrial atau antena parabola. Namun tidak serta merta siaran ini bebas dikomersilkan demi keuntungan salah satu pihak

Penangkapan siaran

Antena terestrial

Pada umumnya, seorang pemilik radio atau televisi yang hendak menikmati siaran terestrial di daerah yang memiliki stasiun pemancar siaran dapat menangkap siaran melalui antena terestrial. Hal ini termasuk antena UHF maupun VHF untuk televisi.

Antena parabola

Antena parabola biasa digunakan untuk menangkap siaran televisi satelit. Alat ini dapat menangkap sinyal langsung melalui satelit tanpa diarahkan pada stasiun pemancar. Dengan antena parabola, tidak hanya siaran dalam negeri saja yang dapat ditangkap, tetapi juga siaran televisi dari luar negeri yang tersedia pada satelit yang sinyalnya diterima antena parabola. Antena ini sangat cocok bagi pemirsa yang daerahnya yang tidak dapat menangkap siaran melalui stasiun pemancar karena kondisi geografis yang tidak memadai, atau pun tidak tersedia stasiun pemancar di dekatnya.
