Shunji Iwai (岩井 俊二, Iwai Shunji, lahir 24 Januari 1963) adalah pembuat film, seniman video, penulis, dan pembuat dokumenter asal Jepang.

Kehidupan dan karir

Pada tahun 1988 dia memulai karirnya di industri hiburan Jepang dengan menyutradarai drama TV dan video musik. Kemudian, pada tahun 1993, drama TV-nya, Fireworks, memberinya pujian kritis dan Directors Guild of Japan New Directors Award atas peggambarannya atas sekelompok anak-anak di kota Iioka.[1]
