Sekolah Tinggi Yale atau Yale College adalah perguruan tinggi undergradute Universitas Yale. Didirikan pada tahun 1701, sekolah ini merupakan Sekolah Tinggi Yale yang pertama dari Universitas Yale. Banyak sekolah dari Universitas Yale lainnya yang didirikan pada awal tahun 1810 dan semua sekolah tersebut secara resmi dinamakan "Yale College" sampai tahun 1887, dinamakan "sekolah collegiate" (dibagi-bagi semacam federasi, menjadi beberapa perguruan tinggi konstituen). Setelah itu berganti nama menjadi Universitas Yale dan menjadi salah satu perguruan tinggi terbaik di Amerika Serikat.[3][4][5][6][7]

Awalnya didirikan untuk melatih pendeta Kongregasionalis, sekolah ini mulai mengajar bidang humaniora dan ilmu alam pada akhir abad ke-18. Pada saat yang sama, siswa mulai mengorganisir organisasi ekstrakurikuler: "college literary societies" (jenis organisasi sosial yang khas, berbeda dari "kaum terpelajar" pada umumnya, dan mereka sering menjadi pelopor dari persaudaraan mahasiswa biasa disebut "fraternity" dan perkumpulan mahasiswi biasa dinamakan "sorority"),[8] kemudian menerbitkan publikasi, membentuk tim olahraga, dan kelompok menyanyi. Pada pertengahan abad ke-19, sekolah ini menjadi perguruan tinggi terbesar di Amerika Serikat. Pada tahun 1847, beberapa sekolah Yale lainnya digabung dengan Yale College dan pada tahun 1956, Sheffield Scientific School diserap oleh Yale College. Kurikulum beberapa sekolah gabungan yang termasuk ke dalam Yale College menjadi dasar dari kurikulum seni liberal modern, yang mengharuskan siswa untuk mengambil kursus dalam berbagai mata pelajaran, termasuk bahasa asing, komposisi, sains, dan penalaran kuantitatif, selain memilih jurusan di tahun kedua mereka.
