Satyalancana Jana Utama adalah tanda kehormatan yang diberikan kepada anggota kepolisian yang aktif berperan dalam menjaga keamanan dalam negeri dan berdampak bagi kemajuan Polri. Tanda kehormatan ini ditetapkan tahun 1961.[1] Warga negara Indonesia yang bukan anggota organisasi kepolisian juga bisa mendapatkan tanda kehormatan ini jika telah memenuhi syarat tersebut.[2][3]

Bentuk

Satyalancana Jana Utama berbentuk bundar yang tampak seperti bunga teratai berwarna perak. Di tengahnya terdapat sebuah lingkaran berdasar merah yang dilingkari dengan serangkaian lingkaran-lingkaran kecil. Di atas lingkaran berdasar merah tersebut terdapat lambang Polri. Di atas kedua lingkaran tersebut terdapat tiga bintang bersudut lima. Sementara itu, di bawahnya terdapat seutas pita bertuliskan "JANA UTAMA". Satyalancana ini digantungkan pada sebuah pita penggantung berwarna dasar hitam dengan satu lajur kecil berwarna kuning di sisi kiri dan kanannya.[4][1]

Bentuk dari satyalancana ini sempat digunakan sebagai lambang pada tanda kehormatan Nugraha Sakanti Jana Utama.[1]
