Satu Indonesia Awards

Penghargaan SATU Indonesia adalah sebuah ajang kompetisi yang hasil akhirnya berupa penghargaan untuk lima pemuda yang dinilai telah memberikan kontribusi positif bagi masyarakat dan lingkungan sekitar.[1]

Kompetisi ini disponsori oleh PT Astra International Tbk di mana nama "SATU" diambil dari nama sponsornya, yang terdiri dari empat kata gabungan yaitu Semangat Astra Terpadu Untuk Indonesia.[1][2] Inisyatif ini merupakan bagian dari program Tanggung jawab sosial perusahaan (Corporate Social Responsibility) Astra, bekerja sama dengan Tempo Media Group pada tahun 2012, untuk penyelenggaraannya pada tahun ketiga.[2] Kompetisi ini dimulai pada tahun 2010 dan pada tahun 2012 jumlah peserta mendaftar menjadi 1.088 orang, meningkat 121% dibandingkan tahun 2011 yaitu 492 pendaftar.[2]

Proses kompetisi

Prestasi untuk penghargaan ini dikategorikan dalam bidang Lingkungan, Pendidikan, Teknologi, Kesehatan dan Ekonomi/Kewirausahaan.[3] Kriteria pemilihan termasuk; motivasi/latar belakang dilaksanakannya kegiatan, hasil dari kegiatan yang diciptakan, jumlah dan dampak perubahan pada masyarakat, rintangan dalam menjalankan kegiatan, dan keberlanjutan dari kegiatan yang dilaksanakan.[2] Untuk 20 kandidat akan dikunjungi dilokasi kegiatan yang pada tahun 2012 meliputi Aceh, Kepulauan Riau, Sumatera Barat, Jawa Barat, Jawa Tengah, Jawa Timur, Kalimantan Barat hingga Sulawesi Selatan.[2]

Dewan juri pada tahun 2012 terdiri dari Rachmat Witoelar, Nila Moeloek, Fasli Jalal, Tri Mumpuni, Onno Purbo, serta perwakilan dari perusahaan sponsor: PT Astra International Tbk dan Tempo Media Group.[2] Kelima kandidat terpilih akan mendapatkan uang tunai sebesar 55 juta rupiah dan pembinaan kegiatan.[2]
