SM Station adalah proyek musik digital oleh label rekaman asal Korea Selatan, S.M. Entertainment. Pada proyek ini, pihak agensi akan mengeluarkan sebuah karya baru setiap pekannya dengan menampilkan artis yang berbeda selama satu tahun, dimulai dari tanggal 3 Februari 2016.[1] Setelah musim pertama proyek ini berakhir pada 3 Februari 2017, musim kedua proyek ini akan dimulai pada 31 Maret 2017.

Ikhtisar

SM Station diumumkan langsung oleh pendiri sekaligus CEO Lee Soo-man selama jumpa pers pada 27 Januari 2016 sebagai bagian dari proyek besar "New Culture Technology" dari S.M. Entertainment.[2] Proyek ini bertujuan untuk menampilkan para produser dan artis dari S.M. Entertainment, serta menyuguhkan kolaborasi bersama artis dari luar label.[3]

Pada Februari 2017, S.M. Entertainment mengumumkan akan memulai musim kedua proyek ini pada Maret 2017. Musim ini akan menyuguhkan kolaborasi bersama musisi dari luar negeri, juga akan menampilkan kembali proyek lama label ini seperti SM the Ballad, SM the Performance, Summer Vacation, dan Winter Garden.[4] Musim kedua proyek ini dimulai pada 31 Maret 2017 dengan singel pertama "Would U" oleh Red Velvet. Pada 6 April, SM Entertainment merilis sebuah album komplikasi berjudul SM Station Season 1 yang berisi 52 singel musim pertama dan lima lagu bonus. Album ini dikemas sebagai satu set empat CD yang mencakup sebuah buku foto potongan balik layar.[5]
