Rumah Sakit dr. Sulianti Saroso adalah sebuah rumah sakit vertikal tipe A pendidikan yang berada di bawah Kementerian Kesehatan Republik Indonesia yang juga merupakan Pusat Kajian dan Rujukan Nasional Penyakit Infeksi. Rumah sakit ini terletak di daerah Sunter, Jakarta Utara. Nama RSPI Sulianti Saroso berasal dari nama seorang dokter Indonesia Julie Sulianti Saroso. RSPI Sulianti Saroso berawal dengan didirikannya stasiun karantina di daerah pelabuhan Tanjung Priok pada tahun 1985, yang fungsi utamanya adalah menampung penderita penyakit cacar dari Jakarta dan sekitarnya, dimana di antara tahun 1964 sampai tahun 1970 merawat penderita cacar sekitar 2.358 orang. RS Penyakit Infeksi Prof. Dr. Sulianti Saroso diresmikan pada tanggal 21 April 1995 dan berfungsi memberikan pelayanan medis, penunjang medis kepada seluruh lapisan masyarakat yang membutuhkan. Kegiatan pelayanan RSPI-SS berupa pelayanan rawat jalan, pelayanan rawat inap, pelayanan rawat darurat, pelayanan operasi dan pelayanan ICU serta dapat dimanfaatkan untuk penelitian dan pendidikan tenaga kesehatan.

Dana pembangunan Rumah Sakit ini adalah berasal dari hibah murni Pemerintah Jepang (JICA) sebesar 2.459.000.000 Yen. Pada tanggal 17 Juni 1992, perletakan batu pertama pembangunan Rumah Sakit ini dlakukan oleh Menteri Kesehatan Dr. Adhyatama yang dihadiri oleh Duta Besar Jepang untuk Indonesia Mr. Michiko Kunihiro. Pada tanggal 24 September 1993 pembangunan Rumah Sakit ini selesai dan secara resmi diserahkan dari pemerintah Jepang kepada Pemerintah Indonesia dalam hal ini Direktur Jenderal PPM & PLP.

RSPI akhir-akhir ini menjadi populer karena menjadi rumah sakit rujukan awal seiring merebaknya kasus SARS, Flu burung, Difteri di Jakarta. Dan pada saat Pandemi COVID-19 terjadi diseluruh dunia, Pada awal tahun 2020 RSPI menjadi rumah sakit tempat dirawatnya pasien pertama yang positif terjangkit COVID-19.
