Rowobayem adalah desa di kecamatan Kemiri, Purworejo, Jawa Tengah, Indonesia. Desa ini terletak di sebelah utara Kutoarjo. Desa Rowobayem hanya berjarak sekira 1,5 Km berkendara dari pusat Kecamatan Kemiri dan 16 Km dari pusat Kabupaten Purworejo serta 4 Km dari Kutoarjo. Desa Rowobayem memiliki kontur wilayah berupa dataran rendah. Desa ini juga dilintasi dua sungai besar yaitu Sungai Lamat yang membelah wilayah sebelah barat dan Sungai Bedono yang mengalir disepanjang batas selatan Desa Rowobayem.

Mayoritas penduduknya bekerja sebagai petani, dan beberapa yang cukup mencolok adalah terhamparnya lahan yang cukup luas untuk pembibitan pohon keras seperti Jati dan Albasia yang di pelopori oleh seorang guru SD bernama BURUS SUGIYONO pada tahun 1992, yang kini diikuti oleh sebagian besar masyarakat setempat karena jauh lebih banyak menghasilkan daripada hanya ditanami padi, oleh sebab itulah desa ini juga menjadi salah satu sentra produsen bibit albasia dan jati hingga saat ini.
Di desa Rowobayem terkenal dengan kesenian kuda lumping dengan Nama Kelompoknya Turonggoseto Gourp disitu diceritakan seorang pemuda yang menari diiringi dengan tabuhan gendang danangklung,para pemainnya akan menari mengikuti iringan tabuhan gendang sampai mereka Kesurupan.dan penari yang kesurupan akan memakan apapun yang telah disediakan oleh pawangnya,seperti bunga-bungaan,dan lain sebagainya.mereka akan sembuh kembali apabila sudah diobati oleh pawangnya tersebut. Selain Kuda Lumping ada pula kesenian JANEN, hampir mirip Group Rebana namun lebih minimalis dan vokal suaranya lebih tinggi serta bersahutan.
