Roland TR-606 Drumatix adalah mesin drum sintesis analog yang dapat diprogram buatan Roland Corporation dari tahun 1981 hingga 1984. Awalnya 606 dirancang untuk digunakan bersama Roland TB-303 (penyintesis bass analog monofonik) untuk memberikan iringan drum dan bass yang sederhana untuk gitaris tanpa pemain drum/bass. TR-606 umumnya digunakan pada genre musik elektronik, seperti acid house, techno, trance, dan house.

Sejarah

TB-303 dan TR-606 diluncurkan pada tahun 1981 sebagai pilihan para gitaris untuk berlatih tanpa bantuan orang lain,[1] dengan posisi TR-606 dan TB-303 sebagai drum dan bass line untuk berlatih, tetapi karena pemrograman dan suaranya yang tidak realistik, duo mesin ini kehilangan pamornya. Pada suatu waktu, TR-606 dapat ditemukan di pasar loak dengan harga hanya US$50; tetapi karena munculnya kebangkitan popularitas suara drum analog untuk musik elektronik, kemudian TR-606 dijual dengan kisaran harga US $400 hingga US $500.

Pada tahun 2020, Behringer, sebuah perusahaan alat musik Jerman, mengumumkan produk mesin drum barunya, RD-6, sebagai tiruan (klon) dari TR-606.[2] Di tahun yang sama, Roland juga merilis mesin drum klon TR-606 dengan nama TR-06 sekaligus merilis plugin emulator resmi TR-606 yang tersedia di Roland Cloud.[3]
