Richard I, juga dikenal sebagai Richard sang Pemberani (bahasa Prancis: Richard Sans-Peur; bahasa Nordik Kuno: Jarl Rikard), lahir ca. 935 di Fécamp dan meninggal 20 November 996 di Fécamp, adalah seorang Count Rouen dari 942 hingga 996.[2] Dia adalah putra Guillaume Longue-Épée, princeps (kepala suku atau penguasa)[3] dan Sprota,[2] seorang selir Breton yang ditangkap dalam perang dan dinikahkan Guillaume dengan more danico.[4] Richard adalah penguasa pertama yang mengkualifikasikan dirinya sebagai seorang Marquis.
