Rafle du Vélodrome d'Hiver

Plakat peringatan untuk 8.160 korban yang ditahan di Vel' d'Hiv setelah penangkapan orang-orang Yahudi 16–17 Juli 1942 di Paris. Diresmikan pada tanggal 20 Juli 2008, plakat tersebut berada di depan Stasiun metro Bir-Hakeim, boulevard de Grenelle (Arondisemen ke-15 Paris), beberapa meter dari lokasi Vel d'Hiv dulu.

Serangan Vélodrome d'Hiver, sering disebut « serangan Vél’d’Hiv » merupakan sebuah penangkapan massal terbesar Yahudi yang dilaksanakan di Prancis selama Perang Dunia II. Antara tanggal 16 Juli 1942 dan 17 Juli 1942, lebih dari 13.000 orang, hampir sepertiga dari mereka anak-anak, ditangkap [1] di Paris dan di pinggiran kota untuk dideportasi: kurang dari seratus akan kembali.[2]
