Quimper (bahasa Breton Kemper) ialah sebuah komune di Prancis dekat Samudera Atlantik, di Finistère, Bretagne, Prancis. Dalam bahasa Prancis, penduduk kota ini disebut Quimpérois.

Nama

Kata "Quimper" diturunkan dari kata Brezhoneg Kemper, yang berarti "pertemuan sungai", karena kota ini dibangun di atas pertemuan Sungai Steir, Odet dan Jet. Kata Kemper berhubungan dengan kata Wales Cymer dan Irlandia Comhar ("kerja sama").

Transportasi

Transportasi umum di Quimper disediakan oleh QUB. Jaringan ini terdiri atas 7 jalur kota, dan 16 jalur pinggiran kota. Selama bulan musim panas Juli dan Agustus, bus pantai tambahan membuka jalur.
