Pulau Wrangel (bahasa Rusia: о́стров Вра́нгеля, tr. ostrov Vrangelya; IPA: [ˈostrəf ˈvrangʲɪlʲə]) adalah sebuah pulau yang terletak di Samudra Arktik di antara Laut Chukchi dan Laut Siberia Timur. Pulau Wrangel terletak di garis meridian ke-180. Batas Penanggalan Internasional dipindahkan ke timur untuk menghindari pulau ini dan Semenanjung Chukchi di daratan Rusia. Pulau terdekat dari Pulau Wrangel adalah Pulau Herald yang kecil dan berbatu yang terletak 60 km di sebelah timur.[1] Jarak ke titik terdekat di daratan Rusia adalah 140 km.[2] Pulau Wrangel mungkin pernah menjadi tempat terakhir di dunia di mana mamut pernah bertahan hidup.
Hampir seluruh Pulau Wrangel dan Pulau Herald merupakan wilayah yang dilindungi sebagai suaka alam oleh pemerintah Rusia. Pulau ini beserta perairan di sekitarnya diklasifikasikan sebagai "Zapovednik" (suaka alam) pada tahun 1976 dan diberi perlindungan dalam tingkat tertinggi yang melarang semua aktivitas manusia di pulau tersebut selain untuk tujuan penelitian. Pemerintah regional Chukotka telah memperluas wilayah laut yang dilindungi hingga 24 mil laut pada tahun 1999. Pada tahun 2003, terdapat empat petugas yang tinggal di pulau tersebut sepanjang tahun. Selain itu, terdapat 12 ilmuwan yang datang pada musim panas untuk melakukan penelitian.
Pulau Wrangel memiliki lebar sekitar 125 km dan luas 7600 km2. Pulau ini terdiri dari dataran pesisir di selatan yang memiliki lebar 15 km (9,3 mi); pegunungan dengan relief rendah di tengah; dan dataran pesisir di utara selebar 25 km. Pegunungan di tengah yang disebut Pegunungan Tsentral'nye memiliki lebar hingga 40 km dan panjang 145 km dari pantai. Rata-rata ketinggian pegunungan ini adalah 500 m di atas permukaan laut. Gunung tertinggi di pulau ini adalah Gunung Sovetskaya dengan ketinggian 1.096 m di atas permukaan laut. Ujung barat dan timur pegunungan ini adalah tebing laut di kedua sisi pulau.[1]
Secara administratif, Pulau Wrangel merupakan bagian dari Okrug Otonom Chukotka di Federasi Rusia. Di pulau berbatu ini terdapat stasiun cuaca, dan sebelumnya pernah ada dua permukiman nelayan Chukchi di sisi selatan pulau (Ushakovskoye[1] dan Zvyozdny di pesisir Teluk Somnitelnaya).[3]
