Provinsi Awaji (淡路国code: ja is deprecated , awaji no kuni) dulunya disebut Tandō (淡道code: ja is deprecated ) adalah nama provinsi lama Jepang di Pulau Awaji dan sekarang merupakan bagian dari Prefektur Hyogo. Wilayah provinsi Awaji sering disebut sebagai Tanshu (淡州code: ja is deprecated ).
Provinsi Awaji didirikan pada abad ke-7, merupakan bagian dari jalan Nankaido. Pulau Awaji terletak di antara Provinsi Kii dan Provinsi Awa. Secara harafiah Awaji berarti "jalan ke Awa." Bila sudah sampai di Awaji dari pulau Honshu, berarti Provinsi Awa sudah dekat. Provinsi Awaji terdiri dari dua distrik, Tsuna no kōri di bagian utara dan Mihara no kōri di bagian selatan.
Ibu kota provinsi diperkirakan ada di bagian selatan pulau Awaji, tepatnya di lokasi yang sekarang disebut Minamiawaji, tetapi belum berhasil ditemukan barang-barang peninggalan satu pun.
Provinsi Awaji merupakan tempat pembuangan lawan-lawan politik. Kaisar Junnin pernah diasingkan di Awaji setelah baru saja diangkat sebagai kaisar sampai tutup usia.
Di zaman Edo, Provinsi Awaji dikuasai klan Hachisuka asal Tokushima di Provinsi Awa. Ketika sistem han dihapus, penduduk Provinsi Awaji lebih memilih bergabung dengan Prefektur Hyogo daripada bergabung dengan Prefektur Tokushima akibat alasan sejarah dan konflik politik berkepanjangan antara orang Awaji dengan bekas penguasa dari Tokushima.
