Post-punk revival

Post-punk revival (juga digambarkan sebagai new wave revival,[1] garage rock revival,[2] atau new rock revolusion[3]) adalah genre alternative rock dan indie rock yang berkembang pada abad 20-an dan awal abad 21. Di mana band mengambil inspirasi dari suara asli dan estetika garage rock dari tahun 1960-an, new wave dan post-punk tahun 1980-an.[1][2] Band yang menerobos ke arus utama dari adegan lokal di seluruh dunia pada awal 2000 termasuk the Strokes, Interpol, the White Stripes, the Hives dan the Vines, yang diikuti untuk keberhasilan komersial oleh banyak didirikan dan baru bertindak. Pada akhir dekade, sebagian besar band telah putus, pindah ke proyek lain atau berada di hiatus, meskipun beberapa band kembali ke rekaman dan tur di 2010-an.
