Politisasi agama

Politisasi agama adalah politik manipulasi mengenai pemahaman dan pengetahuan keagamaan/kepercayaan dengan menggunakan cara propaganda, Indoktrinasi, kampanye, disebarluaskan, sosialisasi dalam wilayah publik dilaporkan atau diinterpretasikan agar terjadi migrasi pemahaman, permasalahan dan menjadikannya seolah-olah merupakan pengetahuan keagamaan/kepercayaan, kemudian, dilakukan tekanan untuk memengaruhi konsensus keagamaan/kepercayaan dalam upaya memasukan kepentingan sesuatu kedalam sebuah agenda politik pemanipulasian masyarakat atau kebijakan publik.

Peran

Politisasi agama merupakan salah satu metode yang digunakan untuk mendukung dan mengesahkan sekularisme dalam politik. Peran dari politisasi agama yaitu sebagai hal negatif yang mencampur agama dengan politik. Politisasi agama diberi kesan buruk sehingga sekularisme politik dapat dilakukan. Agama dianggap sebagai sesuatu yang suci, sedangkan politik merupakan sesuatu yang kotor, sehingga keduanya harus dipisahkan. Alasan pemisahan yang juga diberikan ialah bahwa agama merupakan urusan pribadi, sementara politik merupakan urusan publik.[1]
