Perpecahan Gereja Reformasi Belanda 1834

Perpecahan tahun 1834 (bahasa Belanda: Afscheiding van 1834), yang disingkat menjadi Afscheiding ("perpisahan, perpecahan, keretakan"), merujuk kepada sebuah perpecahan yang terjadi dalam Gereja Reformasi Belanda pada 1834. Federasi gereja yang dihasilkan dari perpecahan tersebut, Christelijke Gereformeerde Kerken (CGK), masih berdiri di Belanda sampai saat ini. Gereja-gereja Reformasi Bebas adalah mitra Amerika Utaranya.

Perpecahan tahun 1834 dimulai di Ulrum (munisipalitas Het Hogeland), sebuah kota di utara provinsi Groningen, Belanda. Berujung pada perpecahan, pastor mereka, Hendrik de Cock dilarang pemerintah untuk berkotbah dan tak diperintahkan untuk memanas-manasi masyarakat terhadap apa yang ia percayai pengajaran dari beberapa koleganya.[1] Ia juga dilarang membaptis anak-anak dari orang percaya yang menolak untuk membaptiskan anak-anak mereka oleh para pendeta mereka sendiri yang mereka yakini tak menyuarakan iman.

Sehingga, pada 14 Oktober 1834, sebagian besar kongregasi Gereja Reformasi Belanda di Ulrum, menandatangani "Undang-Undang Perpecahan dan Pengembalian", berpisah dari Gereja Negara. Perpecahan tersebut akan memainkan sebuah peran dalam pemisahan antara Gereja Reformasi di Amerika dan Gereja Reformasi Kristen di Amerika Utara pada 1857.
