Perdebatan mengenai tenaga nuklir adalah perdebatan yang sudah berlangsung sejak lama[1][2][3][4][5][6][7] perihal risiko dan manfaat menggunakan reaktor nuklir untuk menghasilkan listrik. Perdebatan tentang tenaga nuklir mencapai puncaknya pada tahun 1970-an dan 1980-an, karena semakin banyak reaktor yang dibangun dan mulai beroperasi, dan bahkan "menjadi yang paling sengit dalam sejarah kontroversi teknologi" di beberapa negara.[8][9] Sesudah itu, industri nuklir menciptakan lapangan pekerjaan, dan kekhawatiran soal bahaya nuklir mulai sirna. Namun, belakangan ini, debat ini kembali muncul pada abad ke-21.

Pendukung tenaga nuklir dan mereka yang peduli tentang perubahan iklim menyatakan bahwa tenaga nuklir bisa diandalkan, bebas emisi, berkapasitas tinggi, dan dapat menggantikan bahan bakar fosil. Di sisi lain, mereka yang menolak nuklir langsung menyebut dua kecelakaan nuklir yang menakutkan, bencana Chernobyl pada tahun 1986 dan selanjutnya bencana nuklir Fukushima Daiichi, ditambah dengan risiko terorisme untuk menyebutkan bahwa nuklir itu berbahaya.
