Penyejuk udara otomotif adalah fitur penting dalam mobil modern yang dapat secara signifikan meningkatkan konsumsi energi.[1]

Strategi kontrol hemat energi

Para peneliti telah mengembangkan strategi kontrol yang ramah lingkungan untuk sistem AC, disebut sebagai eco-cooling. Strategi ini menggunakan kecepatan kendaraan dan penyimpanan termal kabin penumpang untuk mengelola operasi AC dengan lebih efisien, terutama pada kecepatan tinggi. Dengan menggunakan model prediktif dan informasi kecepatan, strategi ini dapat menghemat energi hingga 5,7% selama pengemudi di kota nyata, dibandingkan dengan kontrol AC konvensional.[1]

Perbandingan refrigeran

Penelitian juga membandingkan performa berbagai jenis refrigeran dalam sistem AC otomotif. Sebagai contoh, R513A memiliki dampak lingkungan lebih rendah, tetapi performa pendinginan yang lebih rendah. R1234yf lebih baik dalam hal pemanasan, tetapi sedikit kurang efisien dalam penggunaan energi dibandingkan R134a.[2][3]

Desain dan optimisasi saluran udara

Kinerja saluran udara dalam mobil berpengaruh pada kenyamanan. Penelitian terbaru fokus pada desain dan optimisasi model saluran udara AC otomotif melalui teknologi simulasi. Tujuannya adalah menciptakan desain yang efisien secara energi tanpa mengorbankan ukuran mobil.[4]
