Penjelajahan Southern Cross

Ekspedisi Southern Cross, yang bernama resmi Ekspedisi Antarktika Britania Raya 1898–1900, adalah proyek Britania Raya pertama dari Zaman Heroik Penjelajahan Antarktika, dan pendahulu dari perjalanan yang lebih diselebrasikan dari Robert Falcon Scott dan Ernest Shackleton. Digagas oleh penjelajah dan kepala sekolah kelahiran Norwegia setengah Inggris Carsten Borchgrevink, penjelajahan tersebut dilakukan sepanjang musim dingin di daratan utama Antarktika, penjelajahan pertama yang melewati Pembatas Es Besar sejak penjelajahan 1839 sampai 1843 oleh James Clark Ross, dan penjelajahan pertama yang berdampak pada pendaratan di permukaan Pembatas tersebut. Penjelajahan tersebut juga mempelopori pemakaian anjing dan kereta luncur dalam perjalanan Antarktika.
